Most people with disabilities often find themselves with additional costs each month for things like doctor visits, medications, and other services.
Those who qualify for all three benefits available to Americans can get nearly $6,000 in additional monthly assistance.
The SSDI, SSI, and VA programs can earn a total of $5,973.

3 Services That Provide Benefits to Help Americans with Disabilities
Social Security disability insurance can pay eligible individuals between $800 and $1,800 per month.
This program is for people who can no longer work due to a disability.
You must earn less than $1,350 to qualify.
If you qualify due to blindness, you must earn less than $2,260 per month.
You can apply for the program online through the Social Security Administration.
Who is not entitled to benefits
Supplemental Security Income will pay low-income blind or disabled adults and children.
The exception to blindness and disability is for people age 65 and over who are financially qualified.
The most qualified applicants can get per month for the SSI is $841.
Eligible couples can get a maximum of $1,261.
To qualify, you must be blind and/or disabled, or be age 65 or older and have a very low income.
Mothers can get $900 a month with this program
VA Program Benefits
Veterans programs will help veterans with disabilities.
The Department of Veterans Affairs helps those who have become ill, injured, or had their pre-existing condition worsen while serving in the military.
Your disability score will determine what you will receive in benefits.
Your score is calculated using the frequency, duration and severity of the symptoms that cause you the disability.

- 90% disability score: $1,998.52
- 100% disability score: $3,332.06
If your rating is 30% or higher, you can get a higher amount if you have eligible dependents.
