Boston – Rebecca “Becca” Reynolds, beloved daughter, sister, partner and friend, died on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Becca was born on August 21, 1995 in Beverly, Massachusetts to parents Donald and Donna Reynolds. She grew up in Peabody, Massachusetts and attended Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, where she was an avid member of the drama club, participating both as a performer and as a member of the drama crew. stage.
Becca attended Boston University for her undergraduate degree and received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation in 2017. While at Boston University, Becca brought d significant contributions to his community through community service and activism, leading a grant. -funded project in 2017 that brought LGBTQ safe spaces and advocacy training to educators in the Boston area. She was also a resident assistant and spent her summers working on campus.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, Becca served in Americorps through the College Advising Corps, where she worked with high school students and helped them apply to college. She went above and beyond and was adored by her students.
After two years of service with the College Advisory Corps, she moved into a new role at Boston University in 2019, where she served as Program Administrator for the Department of Neuroscience. She also returned to BU as a student and completed her Masters in Higher Education. In the summer of 2021, she started working as an Academic Advisor at Simmons University. She was passionate about supporting young people and improving access to college education.
In October 2021, Becca was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Despite her diagnosis, she remained hopeful and faced each challenge with a fierce determination to live.
In her personal life, Becca has made all of her friends and family feel incredibly loved and taken care of. Her bold spirit, bright personality and sense of humor lit up every room she walked into. His compassion, commitment to community and zest for life were unparalleled.
She is survived by her parents, Donald and Donna Reynolds; his sister, Carl Reynolds; his grandmother, Sylvia Reynolds of Danvers; his niece, Abigail Reynolds and his partner, Aaryn Clerk. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Visiting hours will be at Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a service at the funeral home at 12 p.m. Parents and friends are invited to participate.
